Jemma Kidd -Light As Air Foundation
I love love love this foundation at the moment, it matches my winter skin colour perfectly and gives just the right about of medium, but build-able coverage. It's so quick and easy to buff in as well, when I only have a few minutes to spare this and my Sigma F80 flat top kabuki brush never fail.
Collection 2000 Lasting Perfection Concealer (Medium 3)
This is one of the few concealers I've tried, in all honesty I haven't tried a vast range, but I don't feel i need to. I pop it on the massive bags under my eyes with my finger and just dab it in. I do have to repurchase this quite often as I find once it starts to oxygenate (if that's the correct term) it tends to become more orange, which is fine in the summer months, but with my winter skin it doesn't match but shade 2 is too light.
Mac Mineral Skin Finish Natural - Sun Power
Some days I use this to bronze my whole face (usually if I'm majorly hungover or ill and my face is looking a bit grey) but most days I use this to contour my face. As a bronzer it's perfect, and adds so much warmth to my skin as its very orange toned - too much of this can make you look like you belong in willy wonkas chocolate factory! So a light application is only ever needed, but it really does make me look like I've just come back off holiday which I love! When contouring I use my Avon angled brush, but for all over bronzing I use an all over face brush or Avon blusher brush.
Mac Blush in Fleur Power
This is such a pretty - if slightly generic - pink blush, and that's why I love it! It suits all make up and gives my cheeks a healthy flush which I find they've been lacking recently. I apply this with my Avon blusher brush (Avon are a bit hit and miss with their brushes but I love this one!) - it's really dense but soft and applies so nicely.
Clinique Eyeshadow duo in Almost Peach and Bewitched
I love this eyeshadow duo, it makes my life so easy having these two essentials in one pack. I use my Mac 217 to quickly wash over Almost Peach - as you can see it's a nude eyeshadow and it's one of the only eye shadows I've ever hit pan on(the other being Clinique Daybreak eye shadow)! I have had it a while though... I then use my Mac angled 266 brush and bewitched to fill in my brows as they can look a bit thin on occasion.
Topshop Lipstick in Nevada
Finally I quickly dab Nevada by Topshop on my lips, its a lovely, slightly creamy nude with a slight hint of peachy pink, but only slightly. Over use of this can cause white lip! It always looks nice with lip gloss, but I don't have time to faff about with that most days, so I just stick with this beauty
You may have noticed I left out mascara this is because I basically reach for any mascara I have in my drawer that day, some days it's Rimmel day 2 night, some days Max Factor and some days its false eyelashes (if I feel I've lost a few of my own and they need time to regrow). So there's no massive decision there but over any mascara I would Recommend Max Factor False Lash Effect - mines almost at the end of its life and I need to repurchase it again (fifth time now!).
So that's it, these are basically the products I have started reaching for without even thinking - and I'm loving not having to actually make any decisions in the morning!
I'm now so tired, I'm going to need a lot of concealer tomorrow morning to sort my eyes out! I'm looking forward to the weekend and just relaxing and taking a break from the mad rushes that are my week days!
Happy (almost) Friday!
