April Favourites

Oh my! Since when did the end of the month happen?! This honestly has been the fastest month of my life so far! Starting a very busy new job does make the time fly by. This month I feel like I went back to basics with my make up and skin care in some ways, but still introduced a few new bits...

So basically my go to make up has always been, liquid eyeliner with a nice little flick, super long volumised eyelashes and a bronzed face. I really went back to that this month and honestly have never felt more comfortable and happy with how I look.

Mac Mineralize Skin Finish Natural in Sun Power
Favourite.Bronzer.Ever. It adds a glow to my skin which is exactly the same as the glow I get on holiday, so on the rainy days when the sun isn't making an appearance, I like to a light (and I mean light as I would look orange otherwise) layer all over my face. Perfecto!

Elf Warm Bronzer
This can actually come out more orange than it looks if you layer it on a bit, which doesn't bother me at all but would if I wasn't olive skinned. But anyway, its beautiful swept over my cheeks as it highlights and contours at the same time. If you want extra highlight or less you can also choose which sections of this you use which is really great too! It gives me such a great glow I can't believe the amount of use I got out of this every day - it is love!

Natural Collection White Eyeliner
This is just great to pop on really quickly in the morning as it really wakes up my eyes. They never get too red so a nude one isn't for me, but a light layer of this just makes them look so big in conjunction with a heavy application of mascara. Super cheap too so double thumbs up ;)

Origins Eye Doctor Cream
This is so lovely and hydrating and is very soothing on the eyes. In the morning I feel like it wakes them up and in the evening just feels refreshing and calming. It doesn't sit on the surface either and really soaks in which I love. A tad pricey, but I feel like this does something, unlike cheaper eye creams i've used.

Chloe EDP
Just popped the mini in this photo as i've carried it round loads, it really is the perfume for me so I don't think my perfume of the month will change much in the future!

Estee Lauder Advance Night Repair
This stuff is just brilliant, for most of this month my problem skin has been non existent, however when it has come back, layering this on it before I go to bed has helped them to heal so much faster and I don't feel as bad about my skin as I have in the past few months!

Simple Moisturising Face Wash
I have used this since I was 13, and have recently started using it again and my skin has become so much better, it literally loves this and I have no idea why. It seems to really unclog my pores and I don't think I will ever stray away from this again!

Revlon Lip Butter in Creme Brulee
I loved it so much I bought a second, and had to stop myself buying a third (excessive I know!) It's the perfect nude for my skin tone and the shimmer accentuates my fuller lips in a way that actually makes me like them which is unheard of!

April was a month of some beautiful favourites, and I feel like it was the month where I finally got my skin care routine spot on to the point where I'm actually going to talk about it soon! Yippiee! I've got a really bad cold at the moment so haven't been posting much (I miss it!) but hopefully over the next week there will be lots more posts.

Hope you're all well, link me to your favorites as I love reading them!

Suzie x

  1. I might have to try the Origins eye cream as all the ones I've tried recently haven't impressed me. My skin just feels so thin and flimsy there so perhaps this will moisturise it thoroughly and do the trick! I may also have to pick up the Lip Butter in Creme Brulee as I didn't like the colour of Macaroon (the one I chose) particularly x

I did a favourites post too!

    1. I recommend it, my under eye circles are so much better at the moment and I think it could be the origins eye cream and it is so moisturising :) x

  2. I had the golden bronze and loved it. I wanna try the warm. I have yet to purchase a lip butter. I need to.

    1. Warm is good if you have a naturally warm skin tone, I love it and I never used to be a fan of shimmer!

  3. I have the refreshing version of this face wash and I love it, I really want to try this one as well ! xx

    1. I really want to try more of the range but I don't want to upset my skin too much, but this one is lovely.

  4. i love simple products, and the prices are so cheap!
    heres my april favourites -

    1. They are! Thanks for the April favs link, the collection 2000 is normally one of mine too, I love it so much I have to stop myself adding it in every month!

  5. I've been so tempted by the look of Creme Brulée for ages now but have told myself I don't need another lip product.. I'm definitely gonna buy it next time I'm in town now! X

  6. Oooh I really want to try the eye cream ,I'm currently using GinZing but I'm in the market for a new one to try, I might have to take a look at this one :-)
