Neon Nails...

Tonight I'm sitting down to talk to you about the current love affair I'm having with a certain AA (American Apparel) Nail Polish. The oh so creatively named "Neon Yellow" is the one I've been looking for for weeks! Inspired by the beautiful colour I've seen repeatedly on Sincerely Jules (link) I hunted this down knowing it was the perfect colour to compliment my holiday tan. The gorgeous colour is the best part of this polish.

The downside? Longevity. It barely lasts a few days without chipping - that's with a base and top coat! Without that it can barely cope with 24 hours of wear. It's dry time isn't as great as the Models Own, Essie or Topshop polishes by any means, but it's not the worst. I do find it can become gloopey after two or more coats, which is annoying as it's a really sheer formula in the first place. Negativity aside, I've missed not having this on my nails the past few days. Tonight we have been reunited and I am a very happy bunny!

  1. Try a white polish underneath the yellow, it helps with the sheer-ness of the polish and really makes neons pop!! x

  2. My nails are too broken at the moment to look good with a neon colour! I've been obsessed with Essie Cute as a Button since I bought it though, its as bright as I get!

Really hoping to take a look at the Burberry line in Boston next week, we don't have a counter in Ireland!
