NEW TO MY WARDROBE

French Pharmacy Purchases

When the boy and I decided that a trip to Nice would be the perfect early vacation to mark my 21st birthday, food and sunshine aside, I was most excited about the chance to explore French Pharmacies for the very first time. I think in total I visited about 5! I could have picked up so much more if I hadn't been hand luggage only, but I think bringing back two tubes of Embryolisse, a 100ml bottle of Bioderma and a couple of Caudalie Lip Conditioners was pretty good considering. Now I'm not going to lie, this didn't all fit into a clear bag on the way back... It may have been split between mine and Joshs bags!

So if you read my ramblings on a regular basis, you'll know I adore Bioderma and my Caudalie Lip Balms. But the item I was really excited to purchase (which was also the reason why I visited a fair few pharmacies) was the Embryolisse Nourishing Moisturiser. At €14 I couldn't resist picking up two as I know Lily has said she really likes it and I can see why. It's such a simple, non fancy product, but it does an amazing job of hydrating without being too heavy. My skin literally loves it, it's absorbs the product so quickly and hasn't resulted in any breakouts. The best part is I can use this moisturiser and still use tinted moisturisers or BB creams over the top without worrying about turning into a greaseball!

Anyway, mini rave over. I'm going back to France (but this time to Paris!) in November, so if you have any suggestions for anything else I should pick up then I'd love to hear them :)

  1. I fell in love with the French pharmacies when I was in Paris last month! They're so different from your regular chemist or drugstore. I only bought the Bioderma Crealine Solution and Caudalie Beauty Elixir, but that's because I was so overwhelmed by the amount of skincare! I couldn't decide what else to buy. I did buy some La Roche Posay sunscreen, which is amazing, so I wouldn't mind trying more of their skincare. I'd probably have to buy it online as I don't think I'm going back to France any time soon. :( I'm glad I got to Nice while I was in France though. Isn't it the perfect summer holiday?!

    1. It is so hard to decide! I think it's best to get recommendations (and the exact spelling and pronunciation) from other people, otherwise it's just impossible!
