L to R: Chanel Bronze Universal | Zara Black Chain Bag | Topshop Studded Purse
Firstly, thank you so much for all your birthday and get well soon messages after my last post, I really enjoy reading them whilst I'm snuggled up in bed early, sneezing my guts out! Today I just wanted to show you a few of my favourite things I got for my birthday this year, these were probably the most grown up items, as a few other favourites consisted of a giant cuddley unicorn, a graphics tablet, Despicable Me and Up on DVD and a grow your own sheep, to name a few.
The bag and purse were presents from the boyfriend, he basically replaced a fair few things of mine that were just falling apart this year (I think I need to start looking after my stuff!?). I loved the bag when I saw Kates post on it a few months ago, and he picked it up not long after that because I wouldn't shut up... My old sequin oversized purse was actually starting to loose pennies from the bottom, so after a lot of uhhm-ing and ahh-ing, I decided the simple flat top studded purse from Topshop would make another lovely birthday present, I was only about 90% sure on it at first, but after seeing the purse and bag in action together, its love. I really like my bags and purses to co-ordinate in some way, not to match in every detail, but more to compliment each other and the gold details with a mixture of textures really does that. No doubt a "what's in my bag" post will be making an appearance on here very soon!
I also may have added the Chanel Bronze Universal/ Soleil Tan De Chanel - what ever we now call it - to my birthday wishlist. It was back in my local Debenhams after months of being out of stock due to the faulty lid situation. Ever since I started reading blogs this has been one of those "holy grail", "too expensive for your everyday make up" items that I've always lusted after. When better to ask for it as a gift than your 21st birthday right? I've yet to try it out but you can be sure I'll report back pronto with my thoughts!
That's all for me for now, I'm off to spend whats left of my evening snuggled up with that oversized cuddley unicorn (named Agnes), hiding from the rain and thunder and catching up on Xfactor.
