Anyone who knows me well, will tell you I'm a pretty tough little cookie to impress. Heck! The boy even goes into a mild anxiety attack if you ask him to buy me a surprise present! So when my November Glossybox* fell into my hands this month, I was impressed at the products that were in my box, and happy that the excitement went further than just the unwrapping.
First up, the Dr Jart+ Water Fuse BB Cream, I already own this, but that's fine with me! I adore it and it may even make it into the Paris travel makeup bag next week... Then we have Crabtree and Evelyn Himalayan Blue Hand Therapy - a hand cream!? Hala-fricking-lujiah! My Avene cold hand cream just hasn't been doing it for me recently, and there's something about the smell of this that takes me back to my childhood. It will be no surprise to any of you when I say this jumped straight out of the box and into my handbag!
Then we have two products that I haven't ever tried before, the Mango Body Butter by Alison Claire and Dermalogica Daily Microfoliant. I love a good body butter in the colder months, so this pleases me and I've heard that the Daily Microfoliant is an essential product for a fair few girlies. Excited to try? - oh yes!
Finally, the Nails Inc Top Coat. I know brands like this can be hit and miss, as a fair few subscribers prefer to be sent things they've never received. But I have to say I really do enjoy receiving an item from a more popular high end(-ish) make up brand, it makes you feel special. I'm also very happy with this item as I received a lovely navy blue polish by Nails Inc in my Glamour Magazine this month, and word on the street is that a manicure will last longer when your polish and top coat are the same... I'll report back on that one.
Now, I'm sure you can tell from the photo, but the theme for this months box is "stocking fillers". I love this as it reminds me that one of my favourite occasions is creeping up - but would I be happy with all of these for Christmas? Like I said, I'm hard to impress, but I would actually have to say yes to four out of the five products! Am I turning over a new leaf? Well, a pair of new GHDs and a long list of Space NK goodies are on my letter to Santa, so probably not. One things for sure I'm definitely getting into the festive spirit - now where did I put my gingerbread candle and my Elf soundtrack...?
