The colour is beautiful, if not slightly deceiving. In some lights, you might call it a dark pink, maybe a burgundy and maybe a red. It's hard to decide, but I think pinky-burgundy-red sums it up quite well if you ask me! As far as glitters go, the formula is great, it's not the worst to take off, since the flecks are slightly finer than other glitters (still a pesky 5 minute ordeal though), but it's lasting power is amazing. It's been a week with no wear and tear and no chips - a winner for a festive period full of parties! The final thing I love about this is the way it looks when the glitter catches the light. As I said before the flecks are slightly finer than usual, and it reflects the light in the most perfect way.
Leading Lady is part of the Essie Christmas Collection - stocked in Boots and online so it's pretty easily accessible. You can get all of them in a mini set for around £10 which is an amazing deal, but I knew this one was the one for me! Next up on my Essie wishlist: Beyond Cosy (another glitter) - looks and sounds right up my street! What do you think? Are you a glittery girl when it comes to Christmas?
