NEW TO MY WARDROBE

The Makeup: Natural to Neon

Let's start by saying, I don't wear pink - very rarely anyway. Do I like pink? Mostly no. Its definitely that one colour that doesn't quite suit my skin tone, so pink lipsticks are usually a no-go area. That was until Monday, when I realised I had left the house sans lipstick and, with the tempterature rapidly dipping outside, I was beginning to look like a member of The Walking Dead. Again - and you guys know I've been desperately trying to get anyway from that look.

So I nipped into boots in search of something that would give a something to my face, and when I picked up the Rimmel Kate Moss Lipstick in 110, I definitely found that - an almost neon red/pink. Strangely, it suits my skin tone really well, probably because it's seriously lacking in the blue tones. I then saw Lisa Eldridge's video where she recommends mixing nudes and brights to create a natural look. Best. Tip. Ever. I mixed my Revlon lip balm in Creme Brûlée as the creamy nude and it works a treat. This now works as the perfect day to night combo for me - perfect for this Saturday when I have both daytime and evening plans!

When I say Saturday plans, that's all weather permitting unfortunately, the snow has finally hit the coast, and we don't deal too well with it. I'll be the one at the party with neon pink lips and snow boots...

I love her tip too! I've been trying to use MAC's Cut A Caper which doesn't doesn't suit my skin tone but with a nude it looks much better!x
