NEW TO MY WARDROBE

The Little Extras: Work Essentials

My daily 9-5 is a little more than a daily 9-5 in all honesty. You never know what it's going to throw at you when you rock up in the morning! Preparation and focus is needed - both at work and when it comes to packing your work essentials in your makeup bag...

Its important to adapt and overcome, when something nasty and stressful pops up, especially when its on your face. The Origins Super Spot Remover is always in my bag just incase a spot starts to rear it's ugly head. Essie Ballet Slippers is also on hand incase an unexpected post work invite crops up... Wouldn't want anyone looking at my gross unpainted nails now would we? It gives a nice pinky sheen and gloss that screams "manicure" but with minimal effort.

For those moments where I'm working from 8am or need to be at work earlier than expected, the Topshop lipstick in Whimsical is always on hand to add some colour to a sans makeup face. Nars Madley has also made itself at home incase I need a quick bronze and blush in one!

For dry lip moments, the Nuxe Reve De Miel is on hand to work it's wonders, it works beautifully under glossy/cream lipstick formulations.

Finally the Jemma Kid Light As Air foundation in shade 3 and Kevin Aucoin Eyelash curlers (plus my mascara of choice are thrown in. I'm trying to use up the Jemma Kid foundation - I don't like to be reminded of things I can't repurchase - and I'm often needing to dash out minus mascara - so these are thrown in just in case!

Today I managed to get all my makeup on my face before leaving the house - Hurrah! But my little beauty of a makeup bag is still living in the side pocket of my over sized bag. I picked it up form Zara a while bag, but there are still a few lurking around in certain stores if you keep your eyes peeled - there are also larger versions available from Primark!

Happy Friday lovely ones! Hope you all have a great weekend :) x

  3. I love these kind of posts, there's seriously nothing better than a little nosy into a make-up bag! I adore the Nuxe Reve De Miel, no lip balm could ever live up to this bad boy.

  8. I'm the same, also have to have a few handy everyday products in my bag. I tend to go for a nude/grey nail polish and a everyday simple pink lip gloss - currently using up the end of my MAC Curvaceous
