NEW TO MY WARDROBE

The Sunday Post: Time For A Detox

With all the 21st birthdays cropping up recently my normally healthy diet has plummeted almost vertically into a world of milkshakes, cakes, cookies, and various forms of cheese toasties. As nice as that break was, you know it's bad when your skin looks as greasy as that burger you shoved in your face last Tuesday and you actually start craving carrots. Oh yes, a detox is most definitely needed. As of tomorrow i'll be back to my usual fresh healthy snacks and wholesome meals - kick starting everything with peppermint and green teas - but for now I'm concentrating on my skin. It's been a mess this month from start to finish and needs a god old clean slate for May.

The Una Brennan Super Facialist Deep Clean Face Wash is my every day detox of choice, but this month I've been trailing a world of new cleansers and I have a feeling I need to revert back for a bit to let things calm down. I then follow this up with the Origins Clear Improvement Mask - a great one for drawing any nasties out from under the skins surface, relieving skin of any congestion. To wrap things up and prep the skin for the products to follow, a dash of the Caudalie Beauty Elixir onto a cotton pad and wiped over the skins surface does the trick and leaves my skin feeling lovely and fresh too.

Skin sorted, all that's left to tackle is my mop - which is now far more manageable than it has been - but it still needs a little refresher after all the product play time it's had since the chop - cue the Bumble and Bumble Sunday Shampoo. I know, I know, you've heard this one before. It's my detoxing shampoo of choice, so much so I'm almost running out *cries*. But fear not ladies - a brand new bundle of Bumble loveliness hit my door step just yesterday, so you'll have something new to sink your teeth into this week.

Healthy, wholesome and fresh - sounds good doesn't it? Don't get to excited as we're off to indulge in a big old plate of pancakes at our local diner before coming back to reality this week! Be ready for the impending Instagram-fest that is guaranteed with that one!

Oh, and I couldn't leave you without this weeks favourite reads could I?

Okay, so the first one is more of a watch than a read, but Sammi's take on Feminine Outfits has lead me to crack out the slightly girlier pieces in my wardrobe this weekend - her videos are also a little tid-bit of inspiration if you like well nicely edited videos. With the new camera arriving this week, I'm taking notes!

Corrie's Current Drugstore Favourites has bumped the Rimmel Wake Me Up Foundation to the top of my high street wish list! With the Healthy Mix by Bourjois working it's way back into my daily routine this week - I think it's time to branch out!

Finally, another one to watch and not read - How To Wash Your Face on Into The Gloss's Channel. Sounds obvious? Yes, slightly. But I always think it's interesting to get a pro's take on these kinds of things.
