NEW TO MY WARDROBE

The Makeup: Aerin Multi Colour Blush

When it comes to blushes I own a fair few but, like perfumes, i've never found "the one" and to be honest I never really thought that was possible with a blush. That was until the Aerin Multi Colour for lips and cheeks accidentally fell into my basket whilst in the Edinburgh John Lewis - sneaky thing ;)

The Aerin collection is potentially the most minimal i've ever seen from any brand, which is lovely as I didn't feel overwhelmed when picking out products (MAC stores i'm looking at you), and everything included is absolutely stunning. It's baby pink packaging had me sold from day 1 of their release, but with no John Lewis in Brighton and a need to swatch before I buy, I waited patiently. I knew as soon as I swatched the shade 02, that it was the one for me - 01 just seemed fairly nude and I wanted something with a hint of colour. It applies fairly sheer but with the potential to be built up - which is nice as I don't know if it's possible to go overboard. It has some serious glow to it, giving the most beautiful sheen to the high points of your face alongside a really flattering pop of colour - perfect for spring.

Don't get me wrong, it cost a pretty penny and honestly I don't know why my boyfriend didn't stop me. But it's adorned my chipmunk cheeks every day since it's purchase (heck, the product photos were shot in our hotel room, I was that desperate to get it on my face!) and I can't see myself buying another blush ever again - unless they bring out the peachy/orangey hues of Gina by Nars and make it a creamy highlighting formulation - that is the ultimate dreamboat blush! Okay, so never say never...

  1. This is gorgeous on you... so subtle but gives a really healthy glow! I've heard such great things about Aerin. Isn't Aerin Estee Lauder's granddaughter? Beautiful post :)

  18. Hi there, you look so cute in the photo and that shade is great on you. I am confused though - I thought the multi lip and cheek only came in one shade suits all, yet you said you got shade 2? Can you confirm. Thanks.
