I finally came up with a wonderfully unoriginal name for my makeup series *pats self on back*. This week I've been keeping my makeup fairly minimal; base, concealer, mascara, brows and blush - done and dusted. It's minimal but still pretty and girly and super long lasting to top it all off.
The Base: I've been reaching for the Jemma Kidd light as air foundation on a daily basis recently. I decided to use it up after realising that Jemma Kidd isn't coming back - and if it does then I will just have to go nuts with an online order! I won't taunt you too much with the details on this one, but it's the perfect natural finish (something I've really been loving recently) whilst giving a good 8-9 hours of wear on my skin. I then cover dark circles and redness with an even mix of the Collection lasting perfection concealer (shade 2) and the Origins Plantscription concealer (shade 3). The collection concealer gives it more coverage and longevity, whilst Origins gives it a healthy natural look - no cakey under eyes in sight.
The Rest: I've been using the Maybelline Falsies mascara everyday as its a nice quick mascara for minimal makeup. It's not only super quick to apply, but super quick to remove with bioderma too. I've also been testing out the Bobbi Brown brow pencil in blonde (don't panic, I haven't been dying my eyebrows, it's just really dark), its very easy to apply as the product is quite soft, but this does mean it's very easy to go overboard. Finally, a blush that got pushed to the back of my blush collection a long time ago; deep throat by Nars is a beautiful summer-perfect pink, giving the minimal look its soft, girly edge.
