The Georgio Armarni Luminous Silk comes highly recommended by some of the best girls in the blogging business, and I can see why. The shade range is excellent with (correct me if i'm wrong) a whopping 21 shades, I'm 4.5 and could have gone for a five but chose the shade down so it will last me through the winder too (it's all about the pennies at the end of the day). And that's the thing - I will be able to use it in the winter. Although it's a natural finish, my normal - oily skin gives it a nice little glow without looking shiny at all, so once my skin returns to it's normal state come autumn time this won't be pushed to the back of the drawer.
I apply it with my Real Techniques buffing brush for a medium coverage - I find fingers are just a tad too much as it gives a much heavier application. The lasting power is also pretty darn good. I always expect a little wear seeing as I sit with my hand on my cheek every single day at work and I have a tendency to rub my temples when i'm having a stress. But on weekends when that doesn't happen it stays put for a good 8 hours.
The only downer? It's no Jemma Kidd in terms of price (£23?! Seriously, who was the crazy cat who decided on that price...) retailing at £35 in Selfridges - certain shades are slightly cheaper - only £5 more than Bobbi Browns offering, but still on the more pricey side of the foundation price spectrum. But price for product it's a good'n and I'll happily pay a little more for a decent base.
