NEW TO MY WARDROBE

The Brightening Skincare Duo

When I first purchased the Origins GinZing Energy-Boosting Moistuiser, I thought nothing could make it better. NOTHING. But last week I decided to throw my Origins Dr Weil Mega-Bright correcting serum - a product that had previously been a complete flop for me - on before applying my moisturiser, if only just to use it up. To say the result was a pleasant surprise isn't quite the word.

The Origins moisturiser does a good job of brightening on it's own, but with the Mega Bright serum thrown into the mix my redness is corrected, and scars are tended to (and trust my my skin has started to scar so badly since turning 20). Together they are my ideal morning skincare combination and make my skin appear how I wished it looked when I roll out of bed in the morning! Now if only I could find a product that did the same for my eyes - any requests? I'll be here waiting with a pen and notebook in hand...

  1. This Orgins moisturiser has been on my wishlist for what feels like forever but I'm resisted as I have so many other's in my stash but currently using a sample that has done wonders for my skin I think I'm going to have to give in and then you throw another must have product in the mix! My poor bank balance!

  5. I get a lot of redness and I've never found anything to fix it. I think I'll try these out. Do you know where I could purchase them online? I've never seen them before, so I'm not sure if they sell them in New Zealand.

  7. Both of these have been on my wishlist for what seems like forever. As a student I can't justify the spending so hopefully my family will get the hint for Christmas this year!

  8. Sounds really interesting! I've been wanting to try the moisturizer (my skin is dry, so a nourishing one), but haven't heard of the serum before. How... harsh is the brightening effect? I don't have a lot of redness (mostly around my nose), but more so - dark circles under my eyes and all around random uneven skin tone - I'm not sure it's something good for me, although it sounds amazing. The price is unpleasant also :D

    1. It's not harsh at all - as far as i'm aware it doesn't have acid in it :) x

  11. I have the Mega Bright Serum and, although I don't think it did much for my skin, I'm so gutted it's gone. I really want to try the Ginzing Moisturizer. If you're looking for a depuffing savior, try the Origins No Puffery. It's amazing. Can you tell I like Origins?

  15. I love the GinZing moisturizer! It is a must have for my morning routine. I was wondering about the Dr. Weil Mega-Bright correcting serum for awhile because my scaring and spots has also been bad since I hit 20. I'll be adding that to my ever growing wishlist!

  17. I'm looking for a good daytime moisturizer right now. I'll have to check this combo out! I have been using my Estee Lauder ANR as an eye cream lately because my eye cream ran out and on my goodness I can't even describe the results! My chronic dark circles have lightened and the brutal lines under my eyes are well moisturized making them less visible. I haven't had any eye irritation either and I have very sensitive eyes.

  19. Thanks so much for these reviews/combination of products. I remember you saying the gin zing smells like chocolate oranges and I smelt it in store and completely agree! I want it if not just for the scent haha.

  22. I really want to try the GinZin moisturiser and eye cream! I am always worried when it comes to creams since my skin breaks out with the most random products!
