NEW TO MY WARDROBE

The Weekender: Rainy Days & Peppermint Goodness

This weekend has just been a dreary mess so far, the rain scuppered all of our (*ahem*, my) plans, so I've taken to watching Bugsy Malone in my pyjamas. It was the play my year got to do when we reached age 11 (resulting in a severe soft spot for the 1920's), so it's one of my favourites. Perfect rainy day viewing, along with my full Tudors box set for the evenings.

The one thing that did go to plan this weekend was our Saturday morning trip to Starbucks. I was torn between our local branch or Small Batch, but I couldn't quite pass up a peppermint hot chocolate - my favourite. I sat inside long after Josh had left for work and scribbled away in my notebook. I whole heartedly recommend taking yourself away from the distractions of home/work if you're struggling to churn out ideas on a regular basis, I think I need to start doing this regularly for work.

In addition to getting rained on all morning and hibernating all afternoon, I made a new discovery today: I quite like navy blue nail varnish, shocker. It's the Autumn trend that I thought I'd give the bandwagon a miss on, seeing as I'm not normally a fan of blue hues on my finger tips. Maybe it's the weather, or the fact that it goes so well with my camel coloured jumper from Zara, whatever it is, I can't stop looking at my nails. With the band wagon well and truly jumped on, consider the blog post on this one already published.

Hope you've all had a lovely weekend. x x

  11. Yes, that nail varnish is gorgeous....you've convinced me to dig out my unloved navy polish! It's not as dark as yours though, so I'm looking forward to that blog post!

As for taking to Starbucks for inspiration, I always think that's such a lovely idea but never actually get round to it. I'll have to make the effort to give it a try :)

Essie After School Boy Blazer? If so, I NEED to get it because I already thought I wanted it, but after seeing this post I realllly want it!

  40. I would imagine that the peppermint hot choc would taste like after eights?! I got that type of nail varnish a few years back from Loreal and found it less severe than a black polish, especially being pale! X
