NEW TO MY WARDROBE

The Omorovicza Starter Kit

Omorovicza has been on my radar for a rather long while now. Throughout 2013 I told myself repeatedly that once the next payday rolled round I'd dip my toes into the luxury skin care brand and see what all the fuss was about. I ended up ordering the starter kit off Cult Beauty, which is amazing for delving into new skincare territory without breaking the bank. I've been testing these out since early January and have a fairly clear idea of what I love and what's so-so. There were a couple of items that didn't make the cut at all (plumping cream is definitely not something I need, right?). But for the most part it's a nice mixed bag...

The Thermal Cleansing Balm
A soft balm cleanser that quickly melts into an oil, it's gentle and great for dry skins (given my current skin states this calls for an automatic thumbs up). I like to massage it in with my fingers and remove it with a muslin cloth (for some reason I find thinner cloths work better with balms? Weird.) For the most part I'm a firm fan, however on a couple of occasions I've noticed it hasn't removed absolutely everything on heavy makeup days - so maybe spare this one for minimal makeup moments.

The Illuminating Moisturiser
Such glow, so wow. But seriously - If you have dull/tired/hungover skin, this is your best pal. I wore this to work on a monday morning and got SO many compliments on my skin. I think I need the full size in my life.

The Deep Cleansing Mask
Following up from the Aesop parsley seed cleansing masque was never going to make for smooth sailing now was it? I'm not totally head over heels in love, but it seems like a nice mix of the Aesop mask and the Origins clear improvement mask. Deep cleansing, but without being too difficult to take off after the recommended time. I've been wrong before, It could be a grower so watch this space.

The Queen of Hungary Mist
I can't decide if I love this more than the Caudalie Beauty Elixir. They're both very similar, I use them as my toner step and they give a lovely boost of hydration before I apply my serum. I'm thinking Caudalie is more summer appropriate (totally down to the smell) and QOHM more for the winter? Maybe, possibly? All I know is the mini now lives in my bag and I place the full blame on Amelia for making me love this.

Have you tried anything from Omorovicza - anything else I need to try? My current Cult Beauty wish list is looking a little low and in need of some new potential purchases...

  4. I've tried a sample of the Deep Cleansing Mask and found it just okay. It didn't really wow me enough to buy the full size jar, although I'd still be happy to try some other products from the range.

  7. If you don't use the Thermal Cleansing Balm before the Deep Cleansing Mask, you just won't get the same results, I'm convinced! There's something about using these two products together that instantly gets my glow back without harsh chemical exfoliating, smooths out my skin, and calms down redness, and I haven't found a better deep cleansing duo since.

I've been lukewarm on the mask when I've used it by itself or with a different cleanser before, but Thermal Cleansing Balm, Queen of Hungary Mist (optional - works both ways, this just ups the 'experience'), and Deep Cleansing Mask... hello nearly perfect skin that lasts for days.

  14. I’m deffo after trying The Queen of Hungary Mist! On a rehydration bid and sounds like the addition to help to the job. I noticed the starter kit but I’m not sure what to do seeing as I’m only after the mist. So useful to give everything a go!
