The Sunday Post: Three Step Sunday

This weekend I thought I'd mix things up a little. Instead of telling you what I've done (save that for next week) I thought I'd throw together the three steps that guarantee I'll feel like I had a weekend well spent come Monday morning.

Step One: Fill your fridge with nice food. This doesn't have to be junk food, it can be any kind of food you like - as long as it makes a good snack. I'm on a dairy free roll at the moment, but I've recently discovered the combination of hazelnut milk and coco-pops. Dreamy. I also love chocolate rice milk and who wouldn't say no to popcorn?! My favourite is sweet and salty (let me know your favourite in the comments - am I alone with the S&S love?). I also make sure I keep hydrated as well, so I fill up my favourite glass (yes, I have a favourite) and keep it beside me at all times.

Step Two: Have a bath and give your face some TLC. I'm guessing I'm not the only one who's skin has gone completely mental over the past few months? As a result I've been a lot more aware of how I look after it. For bath times I've been loving the This Works Deep Sleep Shower Gel and on my face I've picked up an old favourite I wrote off a few years back: Ren's Hydra Calm Cleansing Milk. I didn't rate it when I had oily skin, but right now it is like heaven on my face. I've also tried to get back into face masks, but with all the dry skin it feels slightly difficult. For Christmas Luce bought me the Aesop Parsley Seed Cleansing Masque, a clay mask that leaves your skin feeling fresh, but not as stripped as the origins mask. I like.

Step Three: Oh boy do I love step three. Find your favourite pyjamas - I picked mine up in the Zara sale this week - aren't they beauts!? - cosy up your feet in slippers/thermal socks/both if you're me (my flat is like the arctic, because I still won't put the heating on) and put on your favourite TV series with the intention of watching at least five episodes back to back before you have to get up and do something else. My favourites are Scandal, Eastenders (the omnibus, I'm always behind) and Sherlock.

I haven't actually done any of this this yet this weekend, so now I'm both hungry and so ready to get cracking with my face masks. Let me know if you follow the three step routine today (there's still time to cancel your plans, I joke, kind of.) and let me know what your favourite food/face mask/tv is so I can add some new ones into the mix!

Have a lovely (lazy) Sunday! x

  1. You're not the only one with the S&S love! Although I think I have more of a savoury tooth than a sweet one :)

  2. I just discovered sweet and salty popcorn recently, love it as well :) one of my old all time favourite comfort foods is peanut butter and honey on toast, magical!
Me and my housemates are guilt of watching countless episodes of come dine with me, big bang theory and rules of engagement from the morning until we go to bed. Student living! xx

  3. I love hazelnut milk with coco pops! And you're definitely not alone with the S&S though I would always choose sweet over salty :)

  4. What a lovely post to read this Sunday morning while having a cup of coffee and an apple muffin :) I love to snack on anything sweet that is homemade together with the hot beverage stated before :P The face mask I'm loving is the Skin Hydrating Masque by Dermalogica, although I'm currently out of it so I have to pick up a new one. But so far it is the best I've tried. :) Hope you're having a lovely day so far! xo

  5. I hate salty popcorn! I have a sweet tooth. I'm doing a face mask later but mine's just one from superdrug...I want to get my hands on an actual tube one but I can never find a favourite to keep going back too.

  6. This all sounds so perfect, I'm definitely clearing my schedule of doing nothing all day to do this instead! Three cheers for Sunday slumber productivity! xxx

  27. I am so jealous of your pyjamas and slippers, nice nightwear is such a weakness!

  28. I so want to do this right now!!! maybe I will... The face masks that I love are from the brand called dirty works which you can buy from sainsburys, it reminds me of soap and glory and it might be a possible dupe for it. I love those masks! smells great and leaves my skin radiant and soft. I also have a hydrating clarins one that I use on some days too. I am in love with those pyjamas!!! I should get one... or a couple from Zara <3

Fab post! I really enjoy reading your blog suzie!!!

    zara xx

  30. Aww those pj's are the cutest! And I'm a big lover of S&S popcorn! I also like to eat pringles and after eights together.... is that a step too far? haha

  31. The only step missing is the pre-heating of pyjamas on the radiator! Completes the perfect Sunday xx

  32. This is such a lovely post! A good mask is usually part of my Sunday routine.
