NEW TO MY WARDROBE

Just Landed: Benefit Gimme Brow

You might have noticed that I've had a set brow routine for a good six months now. It takes something really special to worm it's way into the daily routine, but the Benefit Gimmie Brow Gel* did this against me originally thinking I wouldn't like it. The "Brow-Volumising Fibre Gel" is said to thicken the individual brow hairs and on first glance it felt a little gimmicky. I went in with the light/medium shade first time round and came to the conclusion it definitely wasn't a good match (why I thought it would be, I don't even know, well done Suz...). I then moved on to medium/dark and the rest is (admittedly rather recent) history.

I actually have brow hairs on one side that appear to grow far shorter and more sparse than the opposite, and this really helps to even them out and set them in place, without being crispy/shiny or too dark/warm for my natural colouring - something I normally really struggle with. It also really does create fuller looking brows. The tiny wand allows you to go over sparse areas and build up the product without fear of smudging it elsewhere on your face like you can with other gels.

Miss facial eczema over here also does a lot of rubbing/scratching throughout the day and it holds from 8am in the morning until 8pm in the evening when it gets attacked with the Bioderma. It really is a good all rounder if you're looking for something to define, shape and set your brows into place. I still have to use pencil a little but this makes the front parts of my brows look so much fuller and more natural so it still gets a massive thumbs up from me.

I've also heard that Benefit are teaming up with Debenhams for Brow Arch March - you can have your brows shaped and perfected and pay a donation (minimum £5) which will then go directly to the wonderful Look Good Feel Better charity. (I'm totally not being sponsored to write this or naaathin' - I just thought it was a lovely idea and I know a lot of my friends who get their brows done there will happily bring their appointments forward for this!)

  5. I have this in the light/medium shade, it's amazing stuff. I just wish it came in a bigger tube because you don't get much and it's also expensive (in Australia anyway). Sigh...makes your brows look super beautiful though!

  23. I need to get my hands on this - I haven't heard a bad review yet and it seems like such a genius product for those days when you don't have the time or energy to fill in your brows with powder and a brush. Hope the shade range is good - I'm blonde and sometimes find brow products slightly orange-y on me, I use Omega by MAC and it's got the most perfect ashy undertones that never look unnatural.

I actually just bought Gimme Brow in medium/dark as well and I love it. I think if anyone is trying to create a bold full brow look, this thing is the way to go. I wish there were more than too shades though - I hope they bring more out soon.

  29. Especially given the options (where trends go, brands often follow), there are many of products to decide on from. Gone are the times of crunchy clear mascara, replaced by smooth talkers that leave brows silky, conditioned and bulked up in the very best way. We're also worked up about the tinted varieties available, too.so use ours best clear brow gel
