I've already reviewed the aforementioned Chanel lipstick (link here), but I thought a second post of Chanel-ness was needed as I've really been enjoying wearing this foundation. Before I get started the first thing I would say is: If (like me) you suffer with facial eczema - this will cling to it. Luckily mine is clearing up, but don't be fooled by the fact that it's light weight, let's your natural oils through and oilier skinned girls have been warned to steer clear. It is light weight, but not right for very dry skins, however I can also see that if you had oily skin this might need a powder too, so I feel like the audience for this foundation reduced a little here.
That being said, I find that mixed with my Dior Glow Maximizer Light Boosting Primer, this settles much better over dry skin. And on the oilier parts of my face (think cheeks and nose), a little bit of my Benefit Porefessional Powder does the trick and keeps things in place all day (note: it's not a miracle powder, I'm just not super oily).
Basically, unless you have perfectly normal skin, this foundation might need a little bit of help. But once you're done, you have a really beautiful, fresh finish to your skin. I have the shade 10 Beige (my first Chanel foundation was 40 Beige, wow, much difference.) and it matches perfectly. However if you're paler than me you might struggle to find a match.
I feel like I'm really not doing this foundation justice, but there are just so many factors to be aware of before you opt for such a pricey product. Even taking those into account I really do love it and can see it being my everyday foundation of choice for the foreseeable future.
