NEW TO MY WARDROBE

The Sunday Post: Exploring Little Towns & Awkward Ice Lattes

I feel very aware recently that my choice in coffee has moved from simple to "needy" in the space of just a few months. What you see above is a soy iced vanilla latte. I think the dairy cut down has made me sound a lot more needy in terms of buying coffee and I now feel like a really annoying character in a stateside movie. Regardless, said coffee was amazing, as was the food at Le Magasin in Lewes where Megan and I ventured out to last weekend. (Ventured? Okay it was about 15 minutes on the train..)

I vlogged a little of it, so you'll get to see more of last weekend when the vlog finally goes up - we have a serious backlog over here people and not enough Suzies to edit them! At least I'll have a nice little stash to post whilst we move (still very excited about that by the way). You'll see me raid Paperchase (got my hands on the singe most stunning notebook you ever did see and went for a little drive out to Megan's house.

I have a feeling this week is going to get a little crazy. We get our keys in a week and I have done absolutely no packing or preparation (apart from moving men quotes) and have an ITV launch that I might be going to tomorrow which is just a tad cray. Yep, just used the word cray. You'll have to excuse my writing but correct english goes out of the window when I write on an empty stomach!

Anyone got any magical tips for moving? I have a feeling I might need them this week!

  1. Your Sunday posts always make me so hungry!

As for moving, starting is the hardest part so just throw yourself into it and the rest will follow (hopefully?). The more you see the space emptying out the more motivated you'll get!

  11. Those potato wedges look to die for! I can't stand coffee - perhaps there's a moment in your life when you have an epiphany, become an adult and suddenly coffee is like music to your ears. I don't know...but sitting down in a coffee shop always makes me feel way more sophisticated, even if I'm ordering a hot chocolate with extra whipped cream.

  20. Don't make the boxes too big or too heavy, you are better with smaller, lighter boxes that you can actually move! It will make things go a lot quicker :) Good luck!

  23. Moving tips (we moved recently!): take a photo of the inside if each if your boxes in case you need to find something quickly, pack one our two boxes of necessities to unpack as soon as you get there (tea, mugs, pajamas etc!), colour code your boxes by room especially if you are using movers, pack clothes in big bags rather than boxes, pack books into smaller boxes as they can get very heavy! Good luck!xx

  26. Your comment about being a needy coffee customer in a stateside movie made me laugh! But, I totally get what you mean ;)

As for tips for moving, I've only moved a couple of times, and those were both to different countries, so my moving basically consisted of a suitcase or two of clothes and that was it haha
I would say to make a list of what you pack in every box so you can easily find everything when you unpack! I hate the feeling that I've lost something when I KNOW that it's there somewhere!

  29. There's a lot of times when I wish I wasn't lactose intolerant, but I'm getting better. I think I can tolerate it better. I don't know if I'm brave enough to try a latte though. Maybe I will when I'm in the comfort of my own home :)

  30. Sorry no tips for moving! I think I'm awful at moving - I always end up having to give things away because I can't fit everything or I end up losing things. :(

I know what you mean about needing coffee. Since I've started working it's gone from a casual coffee once and a while to a few cups a day. I try to be a bit conscious of how much coffee/caffeine I get, but some days I just need that extra cup.
