NEW TO MY WARDROBE

My New Foundation BFF

Some of you might have spotted the little impromptu haul that took place on one fine Saturday morning a few weeks back (FYI - if you missed it it's here). One of the stars of the show that made it's way into my daily routine has been the Nars Sheer Glow Foundation in the shade Fiji. This one has been on my "to buy" list for well over two years now - after being "the thing" when I first started vlogging - how I managed to pass it by for so long is beyond me. When ever I've watched a Tanya Burr or Vivianna Does Makeup video and thought their skin looked particularly perfect, they've been using this, and I can confirm that I feel the exact same way about it on my face! I've been working on a lot of videos recently where this has been worn and it just seems to surpass anything else. Like magic - Nars have found perfection, bottled it and sold it *applauds*.

You've probably heard the spiel over and over - medium coverage with some serious glow. It works well as a light foundation when used sparingly, but for me medium coverage status is where it's at (just don't try and go any further as things can look a little scary). Its also packs an amazing glow, unlike anything else I own, more dewy than G.A Luminous Finish, but more glow-giving than YSL Touche Eclat - like a beautiful mix of the two.

My only gripe? It lives up to the break out warning that you see on so many reviews - my skin definitely gets a lot more congested with dewier foundations so if this is something you struggle with - I have a tip! I got sick of letting great foundations break me out a long time ago, and after some trial and error, I discovered that using the Dr Jart BB Cream under the likes of YSL and Nars creates a barrier between your skin and the foundation (and makes things look a whole lot more perfect too) - yes, it does mean purchasing a second product so you can use the one you already have, but I completely justify it by the fact that it allows you to make use of an otherwise un-usable product (plus it is the bomb on it's own - but that rave train has been already).

Are you a Sheer Glow lover? Let me know in the comments as I feel like this is one of those marmite products (fortunately I quite like marmite)...

  1. I find it drying on my skin when used in the uk but when used abroad it's fine. Annoying about buying the pump for it tho...

  5. I loved it when I first got it but now I can't wear it: not glowy skin, but drier that the Sahara skin! And my skin never does that with similar formulas. I can wear mat foundations without a problem but this sucks the life out of my skin... Such a shame!

  6. I've wanted to try this for the longest time, but as a matte lover I feel like I'm just not going to get the same amazing results because I'll powder it. If it does still look quite glowy with some powder, I'm all for it!

  10. I didn't like this, which shocked me. I found it really drying, and it started separating on my skin throughout the day even with a primer and powder. I think the matte version is better personally!

  12. I struggle with YSL foundations and have just started using Dr Jart underneath too - I love the finish of the foundations so it's such a shame that they just don't seem to agree with my skin.

  20. I'm loving your new header! I'm not really a foundation girl at all, I'm more one for things like the Nars and Laura Mercier tinted moisturisers, and the Dr Jart BB Cream has been on my wishlist for a while so I think that's next on my purchase list! x

  22. I had this foundation a few years ago and whilst I loved the finish there was just no staying power for me! Even on my dry skin it would be gone in a couple of hours.

  30. Favourite foundation - still waiting on Mecca to get it back in my shade argh. I've not found it's broken me out though but I think that's because I use an oil based cleanser - doesn't leave anything behind to block pores :) x

  41. I love my Sheer Glow! It gives just the right amount of coverage I need, and long lasting. Also makes your skin look so healthy, while not way too dewy like some other foundation which melts off my combination skin. Definitely a favourite! <3

  44. I love the Nars sheer glow foundation but my sister has a shade which is a bit too dark for me but I think I might purchase a white foundation and add it to the foundation. Foe me I feel it has very good coverage and I do have minor acne but I think it does really cover up my dark spot and scars. So yup I think I am a sheer glow lover :)

  46. With this year marking the celebration of the Air Jordan 12, more variations continue to be unveiled, as this latest rendition consists of a low-top in a brand new colorway.Sporting a predominantly grey hue across what seems to Cheap Jordans be a nubuck-based upper and leather overlays along the forefoot, the monochromatic makeup is complemented with hints of navy blue and yellow gracing the rear, insoles and outsole unit. The colorway also suggests to be a nod to Jordan Brand’s newest partnership with the University of Michigan.
The Air Jordan 1 Shattered Backboard, which was Jordan 7 Tinker inspired by the jersey that Michael Jordan wore when he shattered the backboard during a Nike exhibition game in Italy during 1985, is set to receive a reverse or alternate variation.Noted to celebrate the upcoming AJ 31 Shattered Backboard as well, this time, unlike its original counterpart, the sneaker flaunts a similar color scheme that Jordans For Sale is evident on the original “Chicago” release. Orange and white are the predominant tones, while black accents throughout its tumbled and smooth leather construction further complement its respective theme.
The Air Jordan 12 with a revamped wool composition look to welcome the Fall season, as it’s set to make its official debut this weekend.Built with Jordan 12 more functionality, the sneaker has also been elevated with premium flair and stylish sensibilities. The defining woolen upper is reinforced with tonal textured leather on the forefoot to retain its traditional build, while accents of white adorn the tongue with respective branding to cap off its subdued makeup.Priced at $200, you can purchase this pair Cheap Jordans for sale
