The start of a new year is never about the "new year, new me" shizz that we see like clockwork come January 1st. I started working on a lot of changes come December as waiting for the start of a new year was just too long for me to wait (patience is not a virtue IMO) but I thought I'd save the chit chat about them for today, because - it's topical and all that jazz.
2015 Bucket List
STOP NAIL BITING. Stress levels were high last year and after taking on a large long standing campaign at work I relapsed and returned to my nail biting ways. As well as being a waste of my extensive nail polish collection, it's also rather unsightly. This is the year this stops and I return to having perfectly filed nails that look rather awesome when painted in bolds and brights.
TRAVEL MORE. Aside from being back and forth to London like a yoyo, I barely travelled last year. This year I'd like to plant my feet on some unfamiliar ground; Germany, Amsterdam, Italy and hopefully US soil at least once. This will be the year that one of my best friends moves to Arizona, so I'll be saving all my pennies to see her face in 3D more this year.
EAT BETTER. This year I either ate super healthy or filled myself with pizza. In 2015 I'm aiming to find a healthy balance - less eating out, more clean home made goodness. As a result you may find a few more recipe posts in the place of restaurant outings.
GROW. I could pretend I'm looking to grow more as a person throughout this next year, but if I'm honest I hate the sound of that (hello cheesy!) and it's something that is constantly happening anyway. What I'm really talking about is the birds nest that resides on top of my head. At the beginning of 2014 I had my hair chopped to my collar bone, and now know that it takes exactly 365 days to grow it back to where it was. This year the growth continues, and by the end of the year I hope to have locks that would make a disney princess jealous. (And yes, that totally means more hair tutorials on my YouTube channel)
MOVE MORE. I started running at the beginning of this month. It's not a daily occurrence and by no means am I considering running marathons. More than anything I'm trying to move more to feel better on the inside. I'm about to start Pilates once I have a more structured working routine (it's been all over the place over the Christmas period) and can't wait to feel the benefits.
SEE MORE. Seeing more of the people I love is so important. I now have my weekends back and have a lot of places to go and people to see.
SAVE MORE. Thinking way into the future, I'd like to have my own home in 2016. Somewhere I can buy and spruce up - I'm really looking forward to destroying a seriously 90's bathroom and building something beautiful in it's place. To do this I'm going to need some dollar, so this year I will attempt to put a little money aside for the future. I also want to save for some some luxury 2015 purchases - Josh and I are looking to get a car this year and I've spent far too long day dreaming about Mulberry bags for my liking.
YOUTUBE & BLOG GOALS. This year I want to upload at least two videos a week and vlog a hell of a lot more. I started vlogging half way through 2014 and realised how much I enjoy it, so I'm hoping to do more months of daily vlogging this year as well as more regular blog updates. I'm also thinking that my layout could use a few tweaks to keep things fresh - better get started with that one sooner rather than later!
Time to wake up 2015, I've got a lot to get done this year...
