WEAR IT: This week I've been taking a little look at the 70's vibe that seems to be dominating our daily lives at the moment. From A line button up skirts to loose shirts, I'm trying to find the way to make it feel everyday appropriate rather than Scooby Doo dress up. I've found flares to be a no-go right now, but off the shoulder tops with bell sleeves to be a winner. The one above is from ASOS and works perfectly with a big black hat. And then we have the shopping moment of the year I've been dreading: wedding guest dresses. We have a handful pencilled in already for the year, so I thought I'd get on ASOS a little early to avoid disappointment later. Out of the two dresses that arrived, one navy and one nude, the nude one has my heart. With lacy, neon red shoulders and a perfect just above the knee length - it's my summer wedding dress of choice.
WATCH: Last week the The September Issue made its way on to Netflix - it's an interesting watch and my current favourite to run whilst I'm tapping away at my laptop - if a real life version of The Devils Wears Prada sounds right up your street then this is one for you! After finishing most of my current Netflix favourites, I turned to The Originals for comfort - Vampires, Witches, Werewolves. Yep, productivity levels have decreased by as much as 100% some days. If you're not planning on moving from your sofa this weekend - make this one to watch. If, however, you're planning on seeing something on the big screen this weekend, make it Insurgent, I went to see it last week (and vlogged - link here) and it was just as good as the first. It also has some great visual effects, or so my other half tells me...
ONE TO WORK OUT TO: I haven't moved as much as I would have liked to during March, but when I have the time one work out I've really enjoyed is the Blogilates Slimmer Inner Thighs and Runners Calves. It's hard work, especially at first, and will leave your legs feeling a little worse for wear over the next 24 hours, but it's fun, quick and not too testing (and gives you an excuse to be a couch potato for the following 48 hours if you milk it enough)!
MAKE IT: The Breakfast Bowl - the yummiest and most simple of all my breakfasts. If you're not a fan of acai bowls (I'm with you there) but want to add a little more umph to your standard granola, this is one to try. Natural full fat yoghurt and your granola of choice, accompanied by a few toppings - nuts, seeds, dried or fresh fruit - basically what ever you have in your kitchen cupboard (I sometimes add chocolate chips...) Throw it in a bowl and thank me later.
AND FINALLY: Have a duvet day (and if you celebrate Easter - eat all your easter eggs!)
