Hands up if you've seen this outfit more times in the two weeks than you can count on your hands? Hopefully you're not sick of it yet because it is by far my favourite outfit I've ever put together. The leather jacket/lace dress combo with white trainers has become a go-to for meetings, family events, weekend strolls, and with a change of shoes can even be evening appropriate. It's easy comfortable and dressy but casual all at the same time!
The only downside? I'm in need of 16/17 degree (Celsius - those outside of the UK don't panic!) temperatures minimum to crack it out as black tights and white are not my thing (thus making nude tights all the more appealing). With this in mind - I whip this outfit out every time I venture up to London on a sunny day, escaping the sea breeze means that things are a little warmer in the capital, and the leather jacket keeps me nice and toasty despite the bare legs.
Due to it's monochrome nature the accessories are switched up every time I wear this which keeps things interesting and is probably the reason I haven't grown bored of this yet! My green aviators give it a more relaxed vibe, whilst the large Celine-style shades from Urban Outfitters (above) dress things up a bit and make it feel more city appropriate. Small black drawstring bags are switched with red statement bags or larger tote bags, and it all works perfectly.
Lucy and I actually snapped these photos last weekend after a pre lunch stroll through Soho right the way down to Embankment. It was so lovely and warm and we couldn't pass up stopping to photograph outside the Corinthia along the way. There will be more on lunch come Sunday so keep your eyes peeled!
