NEW TO MY WARDROBE

Burberry Beauty Buys

THE BURBERRY BEAUTY BOX

A few weeks back I found myself with a little too much time between meeting in the beautiful Covent Garden area. One of my favourite areas of London for whiling away an afternoon shopping. I'd been meaning to stop by the Burberry Beauty Box for a while now to pick up some new pieces so it was perfect timing.

The store is beautiful and its impossible not to find yourself lusting over scarves and accessories whilst browsing the beauty section. (Side note: I know which scarf I want and a purchase needs to happen!) I picked up the infamous Fresh Glow Foundation as well as their Lip Velvet in the shade Rosewood. Once I arrived home I opened a few parcels only to find I'd also been gifted a new Fresh Glow Sheer Fluid Base too!

THE PURCHASES

One of the reasons I love Burberry Beauty and find the products so exciting is because they always feel worth the price tag. I've never been disappointed and not only are the products super luxurious and incredible quality, their packaging mimics the formulas within. The lid of each piece comes with a chrome lid with Burberry detailed engraving - the Fluid Base with a gold lid, Sheer Glow Foundation with a silver/grey and the Lip Velvets come with with a matte grey metal lid. Each piece is weighty without being too heavy or impractical to travel with and the pumps for the bases are easy to use and keep clean, whilst always dispensing the perfect amount of product.

THE VERDICT

Out of the three, the Fresh Glow Foundation is my favourite (though its certainly a close call to choose), it's lightweight, luminous and hydrating on the skin, giving a real healthy glow to my complexion that is certainly needed during the winter months. Then there's the Lip Velvet in Rosewood - a creamy but matte lipstick in the most beautiful dark natural pink, it can be lightly applied and blended in to the lips for a lighter pigmentation or applied fully from the bullet for a matte finish that lovers of the likes of "Soar" and "Mehr" will love.  I've talked about the sheer fluid base a little before over on my channel, but for those that light a lightweight but luminous primer will really fall in love with (think the Dior glow maximiser but more sheer in consistency), I love mixing this in to a few of my foundations for an extra boost of luminosity.

You can find the Burberry Beauty Box at 3a The Market Building, Covent Garden WC2E 8RF. Whilst you're in the area, also make sure you swing by Laudree and pick up some sweet treat for a truly indulgent afternoon of shopping (Bens Cookies is also an excellent option too)!

  26. That lipstick looks absolutely gorgeous. While the only Burberry beauty bit's I've tried are their eyeshadows, I've been so impressed by their quality. I'm still dying to get the new highlight, and a lipstick (or two). (P.s., I don't know if it's just me, but the ratio on your posts lately is far too large; I need to keep scrolling left and right to fit it all in).
