LOCATION: BRIGHTON, UK
After six months of on and off travel this year, I've loved being back in Brighton these past two months. I can't put in to words just how much my heart bursts every time my train from London pulls in to this beautiful city. I love seeing new places, but never being at home for more than a couple of weeks doesn't make for the most balanced lifestyle, and I'm never happier than when I have everything under control and a comfort zone I can fully recharge in.
Surrounding myself with family and friends and working to make our house a home, this is where I feel truly comfortable, and spending our sunny August days in the bright colourful Brighton streets has been nothing short of pure bliss for me. Spending more time focusing on my body, making sure it has everything it needs - rather than unpacking suitcases - and working away at my YouTube channel, spending more time on the content, I feel like I've finally found the balance I've been craving so much.
If you couldn't tell by my Instagram updates, I've been gelato obsessed on those hot Brighton days. Some of my favourite places are Gelato Gusto, Could Nine and Boho Gelato (the latter are available in tubs and I may have more than a few currently sitting in my freezer - #livingthedream). Although I love Autumn, I've loved summer so much I'm not quite ready for it to be over just yet. I'll miss denim cut offs, bare legs, the warm morning breeze and wandering through the lanes with the scorching sunshine up above.
Aside from copious amounts of ice cream, being back in Brighton for an extended period of time has given me more opportunities to be around for those closest to be. I can't tell you how nice it feels to have spent the past few months catching up with close friends and family, and to be around whilst one of my oldest friends was going through the final stages of pregnancy and to be able to be there for her means so much. That's the thing about being away a lot - you miss things, some small, but some big, and I feel like being around for those closest to me is more nourishing for my mind and soul than a new adventure could be.
So now that I'm fully recharged, what's next? I'll be packing my suitcase a few times this month. Twice for work and once for a pre-birthday get away, before coming home and preparing for one hell of a birthday month. I'm so excited about what autumn will bring and I'm so glad you'll all be living it right there along with me!
Hope you've all had the best summer! xo
