There’s nothing better than sitting down and sorting out the week ahead of you, overdosing on ice cream and watching Silent Witness on catch up – with a face mask (or two) on the go. I’m a big fan of the whole “triple threat” facial – detoxing, brightening and moisturising. But there are some times when your skin just doesn’t need certain elements of the full three, so I opt for two. The beautys in question this week are the Origins Clear Improvement Mask and Nude Miracle Mask.
My skin is looking pretty good at the moment – the eating more fish and vegetables thing seems to be majorly paying off, so I opted away from the out of trouble mask (thank god, because there are only a couple of uses left of that baby) and picked up the clear improvement mask. Some people use it for spots, but for me I find it works best as a preventative measure – getting all the nastys out and keeping my skin looking super clear. This mask is great as you can leave it on for a good 10 minutes before washing it off, leaving you ten minutes to get through as much Ben and Jerrys as you possibly can before you need to move again.
I then wash this off and pat my face dry before applying the Nude Miracle Mask. I like this mask as the effects are similar to those of the Ren Glycolatic Radiance Renewal Mask, but with an extra exfoliating kick too. This leaves my skin looking extra radiant and clear the next morning. I apply this onto dry skin (I find its rather drippy otherwise) and massage the beads in for about a minute before leaving the mask on my skin for another five minutes. This is a great mask to use on its own if you like a brightening mask that doesn’t need as long on the skin.
So, face masks complete? Check. Ben and Jerrys all gone? Check. Silent Witness watched? Check. Week organised? Damn… knew I forgot something…
