Remember when I said I don’t do pink? Well, I’m made a conscious effort to jazz up my lipstick collection and and a daily dose of colour with a splash of pink. Now you might want to get your sunglasses out because this baby is bright. I thought Brighton Rock by Topshop was a bright pink, but the Bourjois Rouge Edition in 07 bares a close resemblance to MACs girl about town.
It’s bold and definitely not for the faint hearted. I like to wear it with a monochrome outfit to add a splash of colour. You can probably tell from the photo above that it has a very glossy finish, so this isn’t the perfect recipe for ever lasting lipstick wear, however it wears off gradually and fairly evenly. I would say that to prolong the wear of this one, just apply a little and dab it in with your fingers. It’s super pigmented so all you’ll miss out on here is the glossy finish.
What’s even better than a super sheeny bright pink? A £7.99 sheeny pink? This baby is a darn sight cheaper than most MAC lipsticks and can be picked up from boots and Superdrug. Result.
Continuing the pink reform next week, we’ll be talking peachy pinks. Stay tuned…
