This week has probably been one of the busiest weeks for me outside of work, so busy it actually involved two half days and a trip to London. And don’t even get me started on the Martha Stewart stationary my mum picked up for me whilst browsing Staples…
I was a temporary Londoner for the day on Thursday and spent the afternoon locked away with five other bloggers and three absolute babes from Company Magazine to judge their bblogger approved beauty awards. Cupcakes, tiny bagels, tea and a whole host of makeup – what could be better? Well meeting the other bloggers was right up there. Especially when discovering the gorgeous Amelia was absolutely tiny like me (we’re both around the 5ft mark if you’re wondering). She’s also amazingly lovely so if you don’t read her blog then go there after you’re done here! It also gave me the chance to wear my new ASOS jacket (pictured above), which went down a treat with you guys on Instagram. Apparently it comes in and out of stock very quickly, so if you want it then get over there now!
Once we’d finished judging, having our photos taken, and doing a little filming, I headed over to Oxford Street and met Luce (you should know the lady by now) and Lauren (link here). We took a stroll through Selfridges and then made our way to Patty and Bun which was very exciting for Lauren and I as we’d never been! Safe to say the burgers were almost the best I’ve had (The Red Squirrel in Edinburgh is still my all time favourite). After that we headed over to White Space for the Pimms Summer Garden. If you’re a Londoner you’ll probably already know, but the venue had been turned into a indoor garden with a picnic area and potting shed – and two bars of amazing Pimms drinks. The new blackcurrant and elderflower flavour looks set to be my drink of choice for the foreseeable future. It was a really lovely night, and Im already planning my next full day up in London to see everyone.
After all the running around in London, I was well and truly exhausted on Friday, so the boy and I stayed home with one enormous chinese and watched Eastenders (poor boyfriend). Yesterday we helped Josh’s brother moved back home – I say “we”, I sat outside and wrote this weeks blog posts in the sun… And today is also very exciting as I’m off to shop for flat items with my bestie as we got the all clear for the move on Friday!
Before we get on to the Link Lovin’, I just wanted to say a massive thank you to everyone who said a big ol’ “get well soon” in last weeks post! I am well on the mend now and normal blog service will resume!
How could I not include the recap of our afternoon with Company? You can see what we got up to HERE, and read about the judges HERE. Note: London is far hotter than Brighton so I look over dressed and over-dewy.
I love Alix’s blog, and her videos are some of the very few that I sit down to watch with a cuppa. Her Skincare Travel Essentials had me wishing I actually had somewhere to go. It was also her birthday this week so Happy Birthday Alix!
There are very few videos that the boy and I will sit and watch together, but “boyfriend does my makeup tags” have up both in stitches. So this week we sat down to watch “Mark Does Makeup”. There are no words.
