For all of the non UK H.O readers I’m happy to report that it is still sunny – wahoooo! Well, in Brighton anyway. This week has been super fun with trips to London and the boyfriends graduation, I’ve definitely been kept busy.
On Monday I found out I made the shortlist for the Cosmo Blog Awards, although awards aren’t the be all and end all when it comes to Hello October it’s amazing to be up there with some of my favourites, and feels a little surreal, as when I first started out a close friend was super excited about being shortlisted and I just felt a tad clueless as to how big a deal it was. So thank you all so much for voting – I’m a very happy girly! *Gives big virtual hug*
Tuesday was Josh’s graduation, which was surprisingly emotional – I may have cried out of one eye, but just one so it’s okay…. He graduated with a first and his mumma was so proud, it was rather adorable. After the ceremony we went out for dinner and I tried oysters for the first (and last time). Ew. And for everyone who’s asked, an outfit post for Tuesday is coming up!
On Wednesday I went to a seminar at the School of Life in London, it was interesting, but definitely not as researched based as I would have liked (nerd alert).
Yesterday Josh and I went and saw our flat for the second time – well, my first time as I let him pick. It’s perfect and has been measured top to bottom so I can get cracking with floor plans (again, nerd alert). It’s perfect, so I can’t wait to get cracking with shopping and organising and things. Hopefully i’ll be taking you guys along with me once I get a vlog-friendly camera! Once we were done at the flat we hit the beach and I refused to move for a good three hours. We drank Starbucks and spied on a nearby beach go-er with a baby pug – so cute! We also spotted a wedding on the band stand and the couples get-away car was a two person bike with cans on the back. How anyone can ride a bike in a wedding dress is beyond me, but it was very cute.
This afternoon you’ll find me editing videos ready for tonight – I may have to do it in the garden as I can’t even think about leaving my sun chair right now!
