The Review: L’Oreal False Lash Teloscopic Waterproof Mascara

After branching away from my beloved Maxfactor mascaras for once in my life, I fell in love with the L’Oreal Telocopic Waterproof Mascara, and must have been one of the last people in town to grab a tube as it disappeared less than a week later. Since it’s disapearance from the shelves and my teloscopic tube falling down the back of my dresser, I decided to go back to a normal non waterproof mascara – letting my little lashes grow back and prolonging the life of my Clarins Instant Eye Makeup Remover. But now there’s a new kid in town that has me back on the Clarins eye makeup remover and layering on the waterproof mascara…

No matter what they say, the L’Oreal Teloscopic and False Lash Teloscopics are not the same, below is the breakdown on the differences that the new Teloscopic Waterproof alternative brings:

Length: The FLTW (as we’re calling it – if I type it out again I may go mad) gives a little more length that the original Teloscopic waterproof, which was the only area that it really let it down on. It gives my lashes a pretty, fluttery look – perfect for everyday wear.

Volume: The formula for the Teloscopic waterproof was incredibly thick, giving a lot of volume and a fair bit of clump to the lashes on application. The FLTW gives a little volume, but very little thickness or clump, giving your lashes a naturally full and lengthy look – without looking too over the top.

Brush: The brush on the new Teloscopic is far curvier in comparison to it’s previous counterpart, which was a square shape with much thicker plastic bristles. This is what gave the Teloscopic Waterproof the volume and clump – now the brush helps to separate and lengthen – perfect for a minimal makeup look.

If you like the natural fluttery look, this is a waterproof mascara match made in heaven. If not? Then I point you in the direction of the Maxfactor False Lash Effect – seriously dramatic lashes in a bottle.

This looks so natural and pretty!

How does it go with two coats? & do you get any problems with smudging on the bottom lashes? I'm on the hunt for a good bottom lash mascara, heading into summer here in Australia!

This looks really lovely. What do you use to take it off? That's normally my problem with waterproof mascara, then it slowly smudges round my eyes when I sleep xx

I have the non waterproof version of this and the 'loreal telescopic' i much prefer the false lash version as it definitely elongates the lashes & makes them more fluttery than volumised πŸ™‚

Lovely blog, would love you to follow mine back.

I love this mascara, i have really watery eyes and normal mascara is a complete no go for me.

I have short lashes but lots of them so this works perfect for me.

I'm sure at the moment its in the Boots Loreal offer for 2 for Β£14 x

This looks and sounds lovely! I'm never one to go for a plastic bristled brush but I'm still tempted to give this a try. I love the packaging for this mascara too.
