Dress: Missguided | Jacket: Miss Selfridge | Boots: Topshop | Hat: Missguided
Although I’m saving the majority of my pennies for the new flat, I couldn’t quite help myself whilst browsing the Missguided website last week. Their trapeze dress in a beautiful cool toned grey and fedora hat fell swiftly into my basket along with a few other basic purchases. Oops.
This has to be one of my favourite day dresses out of all the beauties I own. It’s a super loose fitting smock dress – I recommend going a size down if you can (I think I had a small/medium for my size 8 self but it would fit a 12,or 14 nicely too) as I have almost too much extra space to move around! The colour is my favourite part, bluey greys have recently taken over my nails, Pinterest “for the flat” board, office walls and now the wardrobe. It’s just such a pretty colour.
I find the dress looks better with tights over bare legs, so I popped on my ASOS tights an Topshop ambush boots. I left it with just this combination for the day and then threw on my Miss Selfridge jacket when I left work in the evening. The hat has barely left my head since I got my little mits on it. I love the way hats bring an outfit together – even if they’re not to everyone’s taste.
I then trotted off for burgers and the Brighton Big Screen (they were playing Moulin Rouge btw) but more on the lifestyle side of things later…
