My first week back after a week off everything has to have been one of the busiest ever – I’m still not in a settled routine after the move and throwing London into the mix this week definitely didn’t help – but it’s been awesome regardless! On Wednesday I made my way back up to London (a weekly occurrence now) to stay with a friend and next morning I was up at 6am to get ready for breakfast with Company Magazine. They were announcing the results of the Blogger Approved Beauty Awards (which I was on the judging panel for) as part of Company Beauty Week and a fair few of my favourite products definitely got the recognition they deserved so I’m chuffed!
Friday Night I met a couple of friends and we headed out to a little place called Slice for cocktails. The place does everything from breakfast onwards so it’s the perfect all rounder, but on the first Friday of every month, things get seriously good as they team up with Boho Gelato for an ice cream cocktail night. One too many mint chocolate cocktails were had and then I drunkenly ordered pizza for everyone. Oops.
Yesterday we decided to continue the ice cream theme and too a trip to the actual Boho Gelato in Brighton. We stopped by the Food Festival on the way and I tried my hardest not to buy everything. Food festivals are great for moments when you’re lacking in inspiration for meals *points at self*, so i’m actually looking forward to getting back in the kitchen this evening. After much drooling and self restraint we finally got our hands some gelato goodness. I went for chocolate blood orange with cinnamon and fig. So. Damn. Good.
After that I whizzed home and grabbed my overnight bag and made my way to my best friends for a night of sausage casserole, double desserts, strictly come dancing, the call centre and Xfactor. And what am I doing today? Cooking up a storm and wading through spreadsheets. Perfect.
