Shirt – American Apparel | Skirt – Miss Selfridge | Shoes – Primark | Bag: Zara | Necklace – Topshop
I’ve had this outfit waiting in the wings since outfit video number one, but have continuously forgotten to actually shoot it – DOH! I wore this out for breakfast with Elisha on Sunday, and although it’s slightly inappropriate for a breakfast meeting I wore it anyway.
I find it really difficult to wear skirts often, as I find it makes me look far too girly (verging on looking like a five year old) and I can’t deal with it, but after recently branching out into wearing pink I thought I’d push things that little bit further and make the move into the world of skirts. I dug out my leather number from the petites section of Miss Selfridge (the holy grail when it comes to dressing for small people) and paired it with my shirt from Urban Outfitters (I picked this up a few years ago, but there’s an exact dupe in American Apparel right now!).
The leather and black stopped the shirt and skirt combo from looking too over the top, and also allowed me to go with curly hair for an extra girly feel, whilst remaining grown up and preventing any ID being needed when renting DVD’s or picking up paracetamol. And yes, that does happen.
