This weekend I threw caution to the wind and set foot into my local MAC store – card in tow. I’d use the word “oops” but I knew full well what I was doing when I left the house that morning. I’d been dying to get my hands on a new quad for months now, despite getting my little mits on the Charlotte Tilbery palette for my birthday, it just wasn’t right for everyday use. Below I’ve listed the run down of the shiny new MAC quad, with two new additions alongside some old favourites:
Top Left – Grain (new): A “your skin but better” shade with a satin finish that just gives a little something to an everyday nude shadow.
Top Right – Amber Lights: An eye grabbing amber colour with a frost finish. Whether it’s all over the crease for an evening smokey eye or in the outer corners under a matte shadow for extra definition, it’s pretty darn versatile.
Lower Left – Charcoal Brown: A matte, everyday brown that can be used in the crease or through darker brows. My everyday favourite for, well, everything.
Lower Right – Smut: A dark brown with a velvet finish. Highly pigmented and perfect for crease work. I tend to keep things fairly clean and simple around the eyes, but if you’re lusting after something a little softer, but with the same wow factor as black, Smut is a babe. You can also use it as a softer shadow liner instead of black. Endless possibilities.
I know what you’re thinking: “what’s happened to the old crowd?” They’re safely tucked away in an old quad, awaiting a third new home and three more new friends. Did I not mention I have plans to be the quad queen? Wait and see ladies…
