When it comes to hair I always feel that a good defence benefits your hair way more than using a tonne of hydrating and repairing products on extremely damaged hair. But with winter rolling round there’s not so much I can do to protect my hair from the weather, and living by the sea things can get a little dry in the hair department. To counteract the wind, rain, and more gale force winds I’ve got a little wash routine going on that works together to bring back the bounce:
For Shampoo and Conditioner the L’Oreal Ever Riche shampoo and conditioner do an amazing job of hydrating without weighing hair down at all. One of those “good hair day” products in a rather large bottle. Post wash I use my Bumble & Bumble Deep hair mask, applying generously and leaving on for 20 minutes +. The smell is amazing and my hair is so healthy and bouncy it always looks like i’ve just left the hairdressers chair after using this. To add an extra dose of hydration to my hair I also run some hair oil through the lengths – I’m currently using the Liz Earle Botanical Shine hair oil*. Sometimes I’ll slap some on for an hour pre-wash, but mostly I keep it as part of my post-wash routine to help hydrate my hair and also speed up the drying process. It hydrates and means I use less heat on my hair. Perfect.
