I’m all about the budget buys at the moment when it comes to what I’m wearing, it’s been difficult weening myself away from Cos and Urban Outfitters and on to something a little lighter on the purse, but I like to see it as a challenge – the prize? Being warm AND able to afford Christmas presents. Oh joy.
Lets start on the snuggly bit – Missguided are bringing it when it comes to jumpers at the moment. The charcoal grey knit above was one of three I ordered and fell in love with. It’s not too heavy, which makes it easy to layer, but also works well on it’s own with a slight autumnal chill. It also complements a leather skirt perfectly – which brings me on to my leather skirt. Another Missguided purchase. It rides up something awful when you’re trying to make a speedy dash to work in the morning, so don’t try getting anywhere in a hurry wearing this, but it is bloody beautiful and if memory serves me right it cost less than £15. Barg.
The last payday purchase, but by no means least were my (first pair of) winter boots from New Look, I snapped these up as they bare a little resemblance to the Acne/Whistles/Office boots that are doing the round this winter. But obviously for a tiny fraction of the price. They’re a little higher than my everyday heel, but despite the hight they’re surprisingly comfortable and I’ve been slipping into these on a daily basis over my second pair of (lower heeled) boots from New Look. Yes, I did go nuts in New Look and Missguided. Keep your eyes peeled for a haul this weekend!
To wrap it all up I threw on my Primark biker coat. I may look a little bit like a child goth in it but it’s perfect for the current chill that’s currently whistling through Brighton. It’s safe to say winter is well and truly creeping in – prepare yourselves for the reappearance of the (faux) fur coat ladies…
