After my last post solely dedicated to the most casual (read: potentially boring) non-colour of them all, I noticed it slowly taking over my wardrobe to the point where I have almost a weeks worth of grey garbs. They break up an all black outfit with ease and make a slightly more formal outfit look a little more laid back. As for my favourites? Here’s the run through…
First: The start in the Zara run through (prepare yourselves), this one comes in every colour from baby pink to navy blue. It’s surprisingly affordable and is softer than soft. It’s figure flattering and the smarter of the four and most unsurprisingly, it’s not the only colour I own.
Second: Snug? Check. Flattering? Not so check… There’s something about this that I love and I can’t quite put my finger on it. It’s another Zara number from last seasons sale which both Luce and I managed to pick up on separate shopping trips. (We’re even psychically linked now, see?)
Third: Possibly the most “lazy girl” jumper of them all (another Zara sale purchase – boy was I bad last month). It’s a slouchy fit that screams “wear me with your most comfortable leggings and slippers”. And that ‘s exactly what I like to do. But it also gives a casual finish when layered over a white shirt and skirt combo.
Fourth: The most recent purchase and the one that rivals my monthly food bill. I fell into Whistles and stumbled across the highly coveted “Comme Ci Comme Ca”sweatshirt. After promising my boyfriend it would be worth nothing when you break it down to cost per wear I’ve taken to wearing it to work with a crisp white shirt underneath. The ultimate slouchy grey sweat.
