I can’t even begin to tell you how many grey items I’ve bought since the beginning of this year. The piece above was one of two pieces I picked up just last week! It just feels really appropriate to don grey and black attire on a very grey day (read: most days), and stroll round all the victorian houses on my way to work. That being said, these photos were shot last Saturday, when the sun was having a desperate struggle with some very scary looking clouds. As a nod to the hint of spring we were getting, I brought out the ol’ faithfull – my Zara orange bag. Part of their collection last spring, I even did a what’s in my bag video on it – you know it’s love when that happens (video link here).
I picked up the cardigan/coat hybrid from H&M (note: if we’re talking about this as a coat, it’s a really thin coat!) and pretty much haven’t taken it off since. I saw it in Sammi’s (a.k.a Beauty Crush) recent haul and was a woman on a mission for 48 hours until I got my hands on it. I’d been looking for something like this for so long I can’t believe it was hiding in H&M. I’m also wondering how I missed it the first time I blitzed the store earlier this month?
With the grey and orange I kept the rest simple, ASOS Adverse boots, ASOS tights, Zara skort, black slouchy jumper (one of the many unidentifiable black items in my wardrobe – who know’s where that one came from) and my Topshop snood. Nothing ground breaking there…

Oh, and my hair? I’ve been trying out something a little different after seeing Zoe (of zoeldn.me – seriously, go have a read, she’s my favourite right now!) post about halo braids. I went for a double halo as my hair is still rather mid-length – post coming later this week!
