Last week when searching high and low for my Nars Red Square lip pencil I came across an old(ish) friend: the Rimmel Moisture Renew Lipstick in “In Love With Ginger”. Rather handily given the fact I had five minutes until I needed to leave the house and was still sporting some rather cute bunny slippers and hadn’t yet brushed my teeth – the later is not so cute, I know. I paired it with a few of the usual suspects from past daily faces, but threw in the Nars Creamy Concealer as I had stayed up a little too late watching The Walking Dead the night before. Sorry not sorry.

I only had to retouch this once at work after lunch, which was pretty impressive given the fact that a) I usually end up smearing lipstick onto my chin several times in the day and have to both re apply and wash my face every time and b) If on the odd chance scenario “a” doesn’t happen, I get bored of lipstick after five minutes. But, no, neither scenarios happened and I even tested the same face out the next day and it just made me love the lipstick more. It’s definitely not a long lasting formula, but I sure was having a lot of good luck with it.
If you’re a fan of the “Red Square” colour but not the finish, or you just don’t fancy parting with that much cash in one sitting (I’m that girl who’s desperately trying (and failing) to save some dollar at the moment – I hear ya) then I’d definitely give this one a go. A more glossy and affordable red/orange offering – what’s not to like?
