Tom Ford Velvet Orchid – a strong contender for my favourite fragrance in the entire world. I have a few fragrances that I really love after having a revamp this year, but none that I feel as strongly about as this one. I can’t bear to leave the house not wearing it and I’ve never felt like this with a fragrance before.
I’ve given most of the Tom Ford fragrances a good whiff, and before getting this I thought I knew what my favourite scents from their collections were. But after wearing this for a day rather than spritzing it on a card, the game was completely changed. It’s sweet and quite deep and has the effect of leaving you wanting more with every sniff. It’s so far from my usual powdery fresh parisian scents that I’ve become rather accustomed to – making me love it even more – against all my preferences and what I think I like, I love this one. And such game changers should, without a shadow of a doubt, require a repurchase.
