And repeat after me “IT’S THE MOST WONDERFUL TIME OF THE YEARRRRRRRR”. Yup, I’ve had my first tiny chocolate advent Reindeer, bought about seven sets of fairy lights and now only listen to Christmas albums on repeat, I’ve also just about rounded off my Christmas list – family, prepare your bank accounts.
In celebration I thought I’d run through a few of the Christmas launches and gifts available this year. From luxury beauty to affordable gifts, ones for the guys and gifts for the girl that has everything.
Today it’s all about luxury beauty – happy scrolling!
Where do I start? In terms of Makeup things are pretty, well…. PRETTY this year! My personal favourite pick comes from Becca in the form of their Holiday Glow Palette because I just can’t stop applying it all over my face (It’s sold out, but Champagne Glow can now be purchased on Space NK in the UK!!! here and in the US here), but the limited edition pieces from Burberry including the Burberry Eye Colour Cream – Limited Edition Festive Gold, Burberry Kisses Gloss Limited Edition Festive Gold and insanly beautiful My Burberry EDP are also absolutely stunning (and something I know my mum will love unwrappping this Christmas). The Nars X Steven Klein Collection (UK) (US link here) is perfect for the edgy little sister in the family, along with the Charlotte Tilbury Eyes to Hypnotise in Silver Leopard, The Huntress, Midnight Seduction – but let’s face it, Charlotte Tilbury just works for everyone.
And my final pick goes to the Chanel Rouge Noir Gold Sparkle Top Coat – CAN WE JUST TALK ABOUT THIS PLEASE!? It’s just so insanely gorgeous and although it’s not a heavily glitter coated topcoat, the gold and burgundy flecks are a dreamy combination and just scream Christmas.
For those that aren’t in to luxury beauty, the two C’s – cleansers and candles can often be a great substitute. I have a friend who I know has been after a Clarisonic for a while now and will adore the design of the Clarisonic X Keith Harrington Cleansing System (US link) whilst a lot of them will be over the moon with something Christmas scented from Philosophy (the Christmas Cookie Shower Gel/Bath Foam is a personal favourite alongside Cinnamon Buns).
And then we have candles… There are some family members who I know love something warm with a bit of spice to it, so the Space Nk Christmas Spice Candle will be coming their way. Whilst those who love a fresh scent will love a Diptique offering. For those who love something a little more citrus orientated, the White Company “Winter” Candle is the way to go, and in my opinion, is the safest bet if you’re ever unsure. Saying that, anything from the White Company is usually a safe bet…
And then we have the gift sets, perfect for those who are just starting to explore the world of luxury beauty products. For those who love bath sets, any of the Laura Mercier bath soaks are perfect (Ambre Vanille is my favourite scent, for anyone that needs a little help choosing) but the beauty palettes and gift sets are also a great option, especially if you’re buying for a more natural/minimal makeup lover, as this is where LM’s strengths lie.
For the girls who love a cute gift set, the Too Faced Dolls House is the ultimate beauty buy. It houses three palettes and a mini mascara inside. You could give three away to separate people (and could do the same for most other gift sets) or treat someone to a full dolls house of palettes!
